Professional wildlife companies can only service wildlife animals and not any domesticated animal such as a cat or dog. The professional wildlife company is to be licensed within the state the service is needed in order to handle the wildlife animal. Professional wildlife companies do not keep or take care of any orphaned, sick or injured wildlife animals. These types of companies are for hire, which means you must pay for their services. They handle nuisance pests that disrupt the life of civilization by entering that person’s domain and causing havoc. Such said wildlife animals are raccoons, squirrels, bats, birds, snakes, mice, groundhogs, moles, and many more providing different types of services for them.
Local animal controls handle incidents involving companion animals and livestock. They have the training and equipment to assist with technical large animal rescue, containment, sheltering and handling of domestic animals during emergencies and disasters. There are not licensed to handle wildlife animals. In order to contact help for any of these animals, you will need to research the animal control within your area.
Rehabilitation centers keep or care for orphaned, sick or injured wildlife animals. They are licensed wildlife rehabilitators that are private citizens. If you come in contact with any of these said animals, you would need to research licensed wildlife rehabilitators within your area.
