Tuppence For The Birds

In the movie, Mary Poppins, there’s a scene where a lady has a magnitude of birds that she feeds outside of a bank. She cries out to the bank’s customers, “feed the birds, tuppence a bag”. The scene reminds me of a day at the beach where sea gulls will swoop down to gather any food that is given to them by the beach goers. Many people like to watch birds. Birds are beautiful in color and fascinating to watch. Even though birds are awesome creatures to watch at the beach or in a parking lot of a building, they can be considered a pest toward homeowners. They can cost a homeowner a significant amount of money in home damage. Let me explain. There are many places birds can build their nests aro

Become Pro-Active Against Wildlife Pests

Spring of 2020 is right around the corner. Many wildlife animals will be bunking down to have babies. Unfortunately, your biggest investment is one of those areas. The key is to ensure your home has no entry areas; therefore, keep your home pest free. There are entry areas that can be found around your home which enables nuisance pests inside. These areas include rooftops, chimneys, vents and/or gaps within the building itself. Other locations around the building that are considered entry ways are garages, basements, rotted stills or foundations, and old or unused drain pipes. The rooftop is the most common entry that pests can access the attic. The holes can be as small as 2 1/2 in for a pe

HELP!!! I’m Being Invaded

The temperatures in the month of February can play tricks on us here in the Northeast. One day during the week it can be around 65’ then the next day 40’. These temperatures not only have us confused, but wildlife animals as well. Well, “how does that affect me?” you ask. That’s a great question, one I’ll explain further for you. Raccoons only need a 4-inch hole to gain access into your attic or building. If the hole is not 4-inch, they can tear their way into the building with their human like hands if they sense that area is what they want. These nuisance pests look for any easy access into your home where they will make their nest. These are extremely smart and have learned that buildings

Remedy: Nuisance Pest's Mess

Why do I need to clean up wildlife animals mess after they are removed from my home? That’s a great question and one I will be more than happy to explain. There are steps that should be taken before the remediation process. First, before I answer the question, I would like to go over those steps because they are very important as well. Once you contact a professional wildlife control and removal company, that company should do a very thorough inspection. This inspection will give you the animal in question and its activity, the entry areas in which the animal(s) is entering the building and the remediation process. The first step is to remove the animal from the location and the technician s

Yay!!! Early Spring for 2020

Yesterday was Groundhog’s Day. On February 2nd, Punxsutawney Phil wakes up to come out of his burrow to determine if there will be six more weeks of winter or an early spring. This year he didn’t see his shadow in which we are set for an early spring. This tradition is correct, isn’t it? I mean, the temperature in our area is set to be close to 70’ today. Even if Phil sees his shadow to determine if we have an early spring or not, this day is only a celebrated tradition. The last three years, Phil’s prediction has been incorrect. CBS 6 stated, in 2017 Phil saw his shadow which meant the United States and Canada was to have six weeks of more winter. However, the winter was cut short and we ha
